“Oak Park is a solid Donald Ross effort in the Chicago suburbs that punches above its weight in a field of very good classic-age courses in the area. On the surface, Oak Park seems like a regular Midwestern country club over an uninspiring site, but this is the genius of Donald Ross. Every little feature is used to its maximum effect, be it creek, pond, or subtle roll, and in the absence of features, mounds and push-up greens were created to challenge players. The result is a very engaging golf course with a ton of variety, leaving the player itching to play it again."
