“A dramatic piece of property with fantastic terrain. While the individual holes had above average architectural merit, the routing made little sense. The backward walks from green to tee, sometimes up to 50-100 yards really interrupted the flow of the golf course and greatly reduced walkability."

“Spirit Hollow is a great value for the course you are greeted with. While the course demands precision, the elevation changes allow for the player to understand what's being asked of them off the tee. Course has few blind shots. Spirit Hollow exceeds by being a course for all skill levels. A low handicapper will have to have great precision to score on these greens as many are small in square footage. The high handicapper will be able to advance the ball with ease. There are few forced carries one must have."

“Rare chance to play a public course with Country Club features! Outstanding golf course with multiple “WOW” factor holes. All aspects of your game will be challenged. Tough greens which were running 12 today. Played 36 holes and were given an amazing $25 replay rate. Would definitely play here any time you’re thinking of Iowa golf. Can’t wait to go back."
