“The day before I played there was a massive wind storm that knocked over dozens of trees on the course. While that's usually not a bad thing for older mature courses, there were a few iconic trees that were toppled in this storm that will change the way those holes play. The course is part of a trio of courses at the Wailea resort. This is the most tame of the trio. Fairwarys are wide so keeping the ball in play is much easier here than the other courses. Great views from several holes along the bench. A good warmup for the Gold and Emerald courses down the road. This course has a separate clubhouse and there is no practice range. There are a few practice nets near the clubhouse."

“All you could ask for in a fun resort course. A good test of golf but not a overly difficult layout. In very nice condition and a nice layout."

“Not as well conditioned as it used to be. Limited number of interesting holes. Might be worth it if one can get a deal on the green fee."

“The Old Blue is a fun, friendly golf course to play in South Maui. It has some challenging holes and will test your game, but overall the course is an excellent option for a fun day out. The clubhouse, staff and restaurant is all very good."
