“The West Course captures the feel of the Australian Sandbelt, particularly where bunker edges meet the putting surfaces. That direct connection gives the greens definition and makes approach angles matter. The bunkering invites aggressive lines while demanding judgment about where to miss. The routing flows across the terrain, with the green complexes providing much of the course’s character and strategic interest."

“Fantastic course designed by OCM after the Australian sandbelt courses"

“Designed after the Australian sand belt with elevation change on many of the holes. Bunkering is superb and conditioning as fast and firm. Generous fairways, loved the short par 4's, and nice variety of par 3's."

“Great golf course that plays open and wide. Very links / sandbelt style of golf course. Turf conditions allow the ball to really run out on the fairways and approach areas. One set of tees from 7150 yards, but does play much shorter due to the firmness of the golf course. Only three par 3s on this course playing from 139 - 245. They have 2 Par 4's that are short and great risk/ reward holes"

“The Fall Line Club's West Course takes the golfer on a journey from lightly wooded, gently rolling terrain on holes 1-3 to a spectacular sandy ridge on holes 4-13, and then back to rolling wooded terrain on holes 14-18. Unique for an American golf course, and well executed, Fall Line West takes its inspiration from Australian sandbelt courses with sharp bunker edges cutting directly into the putting surfaces with only a sharp bunker lip separating the two. This feature, combined with tight Bermuda fairways/green surrounds, creates a delightful variety of shot options around the greens. The course doesn't over-do it with the Aussie sand belt theme, however. Holes #14-17, framed by tall Georgia pines, evoke the Carolina Sandhills. In sum, Fall Line West is inspiring and invigorating. It scores very high on the "how bad do you want to go right back to the first tee after finishing 18" test."

“Doak, Coore and Crenshaw are my favorites of the current designers. With the exception of The Lido, they are fun and playable course. OCM have built more of a championship course with Fall Line West. The fairway and greenside bunkering are exceptional. The greenside bunkers are still young and it's tough that every ball rolls to the very backside of the bunker. The par 3's play very differently with great design variety. There is no room for error on any of them. The 15th pays homage to Hell's Half Acre at Pine Valley. A large waste area can effect your tee ball or second sheet. 16 and 17 are oustanding par 4's that play very differently. The par 3 4th is a beast at 245 yards. The fairways are a little tighter than the other new designers. The course plays hard and a fast. The greens and bunkers will get better in time."

“Firm and fast. I cannot believe that OCM was able to bring a Melbourne sandbelt course to rural Georgia. The course really gets stronger as the round goes on. I was a big fan of the long par four 13th and 14th followed by the Hell’s half Acre 15th. Hard to score and hard to get the ball close."

“The West Course at The Fall Line is authentic Australian sandbelt architecture brought to the U.S. It features expansive fairways—stretching up to 80 yards wide—paired with sharp, flashed-sand bunkering cut directly into the edges of firm, fast green complexes which is by far the defining feature. These steep-faced bunkers and firm turf demand precise angles of approach, heavily rewarding the ground game and thoughtful positional play off the tee."
