100 GREATEST/BEST IN STATE SCORES
1 / 2
“The course is very flat with relatively small bentgrass greens which rolled true, held their lines, and were fast. The fairways are bent and the rough is Bermuda. The rough was not cut very high, perhaps about 2” so it didn’t present many challenging shots as expected in the Bermuda. The course is built in the middle of the southern part of the Blue Ridge Mountains and very beautiful and scenic. Although the course is surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains, there aren’t many trees in play which gives it somewhat of a links feel."

“Nice course in remote northern GA mountains. Mostly flat with lots of water/weed hazards. Many carries over creeks or ditches so distance control is important. Plays over 7500 yards from back tees with very little roll. Greens are fairly large with not too much undulations. Few houses way off the course so you are isolated on many holes.
Fun to play but not for hackers."
