Overview
Situated on the Perdido Key, less than a mile from the Atlantic Ocean, Lost Key is a challenging Arnold Palmer design. Recognized by Audubon International, Lost Key is a scenic layout playing among the coastal wetlands. The fairways are tree-lined and narrow, requiring quality ball-striking. It’s a demanding track further boldened by the often-strong winds off the ocean.

“• Course was really struggling with conditioning. A lot of areas were burnt out and not in a firm and fast way but dead grass with sand patched over it. Tee boxes had a coating of weeds on it that could affect contact on shots because it was grabbing the club. Overall the course is in pretty rough shape. • The bones of the course look to have some good defining characteristics and unique however everything is so overgrown and hanging into the fairways and off tees it is hard to really gauge that."

“I played the course in February. Almost all the grass on the course was dead and it seemed as if they were letting all the grass die off."

“Poorly maintained course which overshadows some nicely designed holes. Very tight, which is a problem given the location on the Gulf and the winds that this produces. Too penal for most."
