“The Estuaty Course at Grey Oaks is located across the street and down the road from the main course and clubhouse on what appears to be an acquired secondary property for the community. The course is characterized by the flat terrain and water that frames at least one side of every hole. Water comes into play on either the drive, approach or both on 17 of the 18 holes on the course which adds a mental challenge especially when the wind is strong as the danger is always present. It does detract from the variety of the course as avoiding the water becomes the primary focus on most shots. The course is in excellent condition with the greens standing out as being particularly fast and true which accentuates the undulations in the greens both subtle and overt. Although covering water with an approach shot or hitting adrive over water is exhilirating and fun, having to contend with water on so many of the shots creates a lack of options for players who play along the ground or higher handicaps. This is why I gave lower fun and variety scores. The course presents itself to be very polarizing for players based on their skill level, the wind ocnditions they played in and how well they were able to control their golf ball on a particular day."

“Mostly straight holes and not terribly distinctive. Very pretty with excellent conditioning. A nice FL country club course that caters to its members. Worth playing if you get an invite, but there are many better courses in Naples area."
