“Be3 patient. You'll escape the condos and apartments soon enough. Several good holes, many play ;longer than you might expect. Conditioning was just okay in late January. I saw no signs of overseeding or other seasonal adjustments, just dormant bermuda. Nearly every hole has a forced carry and lateral penalty area, so bring plenty of ammo!"

“The fairways are wide and forgiving in some places while elsewhere the many water features will impact play, routing, and strategy. They toughen the holes and definitely impact strategy. When the USGA held a qualifier here, the winning score came in at 69. The 260-289 yard, par-4 13th is a difficult-but-not-classic treacherous par-4. Water surrounds the green to the left and behind. While drive-able, that would be inadvisable. Even a mid-iron from the tee followed by a wedge can finish in the water due to the sloping nature of the green. The 227-391, par-4, 5th is the signature hole and is the most memorable by far. It can serve a death warrant or an exclamation mark on the day. The relatively shallow fairway has water front and back. The green also requires a long carry across water. A player will need to hit his best two shots of the day on this hole. The design at Bay Point is subtly sophisticated in places like the 151-207 year, par-3 7th. The tee shot is slightly uphill with a deep bunker in front of the green. That sophistication appears I the form of a safe fairway to the right---an alternat routing for shorter hitters. Speaking of routings, these holes play in all directions, favoring none. The most unique of them? The par-3, 165-231 yard 17th. A mound blocks your view of the green from the tee, but a good shot to the top of it bounds the ball to the surface. Cool hole, even though its design does not fit in with the rest of the golf course. Would love to see this course get one of that much-needed TLC."

“Maintenance issues negatively impact the "fun." The course is reasonably designed, but plays next to highways and houses. Overall not particularly enjoyable, in part because the course is typically crowded, which is surprising given the above."

“Really nice layout with some really awful views! The course can be a lot of fun when it is in good shape."

“Course has been remodeled 3 times due to land being used for condos etc. Original course was had 152 slope, toughest course in FL. Most recent remodel has 137 slope and lost most of it's challenge and charm. Still lots of water and old 18th, now 5th hole is really challenging. Condition in August 2020 was marginal and greens very slow. Still lots of water to allow you to lose balls."

“Narrow, hazard filled housing development track. Noisy and filled with lots of cross-cart path traffic and very close highway/road traffic. In playable shape after the hurricane, but greens are slow and not receptive. Course is too tough for the avaerage player and while it has some good holes, fun, it’s not—with lots of slow rounds and player frustration, not to mention damage to the way too close houses that are inches from fairways."
