Overview
The Links Course was the second to open at Casa de Campo in the 1970s, coming several years after Teeth of the Dog (which was originally named Cajules). The design is similar to what Pete Dye would shortly begin building up and down the east coast of Florida, with wide, flat fairways bending in S-shapes around hazards and terminating in steep, elevated greens. The course is also notable for who spent time building it, including Pete’s son P.B., Lee Schmidt (who would later work for Jack Nicklaus and partner with Brian Curley), and a young Bill Coore. Dye remodeled the Links in 2011, breaking up most of the large waste bunkers into smaller individualized ones, and reconstructing all the greens.
