Review

“A public course just off the Connecticut coastline, Fox Hopyard is a modern Roger Rulewich design and one of the top public courses in the region. With a challenging design, good conditions, and nice elevation changes, Fox Hopyard is a nice course. The 4th hole is a huge dropshot par 3 and one of the most memorable holes in CT."

“Course has some interesting holes but a few goofy ones. Conditioning was terrible the day I played and is typically not good. Nice scenery an facilities."

“Fun course to play; elevation changes on many of the holes add strategic shot making. Cut into the woods in Northern CT with a few houses bordering the course. Nice layout. Needs a little more care from a green keeping perspective."

“A great layout that plays pretty close to the yardage on the scorecard. At just shy of 7,000 from the back it's not an easy undertaking. There are a good bit of forced carries so if you don't feel you have enough club in the bag you probably do not so it's best to lay up. The condition is very good for a public course. It's not quite as good as it's sister course Crumpin Fox but it definitely will not let you down. Stop in for lunch afterwards for a solid meal."
