“City Park is a complete redesign and despite limited acreage for a golf course, they did a really nice job. They removed many trees which really opened up views of the Denver downtown skyline, mountains and even neighboring architecture. One example is that #11 is set so your approach shot into the green looks right at the large church on York Street and this is a remarkable setting and not one that is present on any other course in this region. There is some internal out of bounds but this is necessary due to safety concerns and the limited space available."

“Todd Schroeder did a wonderful job transforming City Park into a modern-day golf facility complete with driving range, short game area, practice putting green, and 4-hole First Tee short course, all while also achieving the dual mandate of creating a space for Denver city floodwater management. That's a lot to ask for in a parcel of land with only 135 acres in the heart of Denver! Schroeder and team succeeded with flying colors. The course features interesting green complexes often set at varying angles to the line of play, a strong variety of holes, and wonderful views of downtown Denver and the mountains beyond. Some holes felt lacking in shot options due to tight real estate (e.g. essentially a forced layup off the tee on the par-5 13th due to a very tight playing passage between a pond and a creek mid-way through the hole), but others felt surprisingly big and bold (e.g. the wonderful par-4 11th as well as the par-4 15th). City Park deserves a high character rating as well given its palpable sense of community, passion, and pride for golf, all in the heart of Denver."

“Good municipal course in central Denver. Unfortunately, will be partially torn up to accommodate I-70 re-routing."
