Spring City Golf and Lake Resort: Mountain Course

Jack Nicklaus' design here at Spring City is no 'poorer sister' to the breathtaking Lake Course. Playing up and down hilly terrain away from the lake, the holes require good shot-making, while offering a playability for all golfers. In many ways, Nicklaus' course here is the more enjoyable one to play. Generous fairways and clear views of the hazards provide a sense of confidence. The course meanders through mature trees, and with the mountains in the background, offer a serenity as counterpoint to the Lake Course's sheer audacity. There is stil some bite as the 18th hole presents. The approach over a deep ravine to end the round may pose a reality check to those who have been playing well up to this point.
