“The Santaluz Club is a private country club in the north San Diego area that opened in 2002. The course was designed by Rees Jones and the site, and routing, offers magnificent, elevated views of the surrounding area with ocean view on the higher holes. The course has a very natural feel and flow, and blends well with the hilly terrain, taking advantage the natural terrain. Each shot from tee to green is "defined" and while the fairways are fairly generous you are required to place or direct every shot. The course is challenging but fair and allows all levels to enjoy the day."

“Large generous FW typical contour from left to right. Almost all shots prefer a fade into the greens. There are a few longer holes but plays relatively shorter with all of the elevation change. Bunkering is monotonous as they are almost identical on nearly every hole: landing area to green complexes. Conditions are excellent. Great collection of par3s."

“Beautiful club. Lots of challenge off the tee with fairway bunkers all over the place. Nice conditioning."

“Beautiful course in immaculate condition. Former Pauma Valley Head Professional, Jeremy Clevenger, now holds the same position at Santaluz and has created a very warm and welcoming atmosphere here. Really worth playing here."

“One of the friendliest country clubs I’ve been too. The course is fun and has a links style to it. Green are firm and fast. Clubhouse is top notch and food is exceptional. Driving range is massive with two sides and a 120 yard chipping green in back of the top range"

“A good Rees Jones design and a great community. The course gets a lot of wind which can make it challenging. The layout is fair but not particularly memorable."
