“The Farms is one of the most underrated courses in CA imo. The course is just under 7,000 yards from the back tees but it’s very challenging and fair. It’s also a really fun course. Especially the back 9. Tommy Jacobs is an excellent/underrated architect."

“The Farms is set in rolling terrain of Sand Diego county with stunning residential properties set well back from the club property. The routing provides a pleasant balance of hole lengths, and shapes with abundant sand and water hazards to challenge all levels of play. The greens are large, undulating and were firm and fast on the day played. The fairway turf was in good condition and provided reasonable rollout. The vegetation adjacent to the fairways has been cleared significantly over the years and errant play is not as penalized as in the past when accuracy off the tee was essential. A number of holes have hillside contours permitting and even encouraging play off hillsides. This diminishes the advantage owing to well struck and accurate shots. In general The Farms is a well conditioned course with ample length and character to challenge and entertain all levels of play."

“Unique, beautiful venue with a strong membership of friendly, accomplished serious golfers. The "players" club in the San Diego area. Clubhouse a bit dated but offers wonderful views of the golf course. Many game options available every day for all player levels. Tenured staff that delivers outstanding service. Recognized by many local golfers as one of the top courses in the area for food quality."

“A good Dye Designs layout that makes the most out of a limited sized property. Very challenging course with lots of water and tight fairways. Terrific greens. Very scenic use of streams, lakes and landscaping. Great clubhouse and staff. A favorite with lower handicappers."
