“Santa Ana is a fun course for all skill levels. There are a multitude of options and ways to play most of the holes, and while it is not very challenging off the tee, the greens really are tough. It is a very walkable course, and an enjoyable experience for all."

“An old school "flat" course located in Costa Mesa CA. Moved to its current location in the 1920's, this course is built to walk. The layout is good and the routing is 90% solid. Several holes seem to be "shoe-horned" into the course and require a longer than needed walk backwards to locate the back / member tees. Shot options and challenge are also OK with the main defense of the course being it's thick rough and difficult / fun greens. Fairways are wide and roll firm, but an errant shot will provide little to no recovery and you must take your medicine to get back into the fairway. The green complexes are large and very fun, lots of unusual twists and turns with fast / true rolls. 3-putts can be the norm if you have not played the course before or don't have any local knowledge playing with you. The club is old and the membership seems torn over the need to enhance the course and its facitilites. The current conditioning is good, but lacks the aesthetics of other OC golf clubs. Overall, a nice / fun golf course."

“Oldest club in Orange County, Founded in 1901. Renovated in 2016. The course has a very old school feel. Undulating greens and large surrounds, giving you multiple shot options. Excellent conditions. Greens roll true and fast."

“Fun redesign (2016); more of a links style that will challenge you with multiple ways to play each hole. The club is still trying to get the rough to grow in as intended - it may take a couple years. There are some wild greens that will challenge your creativity. A couple holes may need some tweaks due to certain unplayable areas (#2 - hard to keep any balls on the green with a back pin). Overall, a great redesign for an old Orange County club."

“I really like Jay Blasi's redesign. Some of the features around the greens and surrounds are unique with lots of playing options. Every round could be fun and different."
