“The Los Altos course is cut out of the pines and one becomes lost in the beautiful scenery. The layout itself is squeezed into what is very expensive real estate. The course is not overly challenging at par 71 and 6505 total yards. However, many fairways are tree-lined causing tee shots to be straight and well-positioned. The green complexes are well bunkered and do offer impressive undulation of the putting surfaces. That said, Los Altos is a very popular venue and the members of varying degrees of skill play often. As a result, the character of the course suffers, along with the other country club amenities. Make sure to visit the clubhouse, which is expansive and enjoyable to visit."

“Tightly packed into a smallish property. Lots of less memorable holes going back and forth but a few interesting ones near the edges of the property."

“This is not a good golf course. Some members get confused about that because it is better than most neighboring clubs and it is kept in nice condition. However, the actual quality of golf here is not good, much less the money it costs to join this club."
