Overview
Situated a few miles north of Lake Tahoe, Lahontan is a Tom Weiskopf design that weaves through the densely forested landscape. Weiskopf balanced playability and challenge, presenting narrow corridors off many tees that open to forgiving fairways and large greens. Lahontan is an aesthetically pleasing layout, playing among towering pines and wispy fescue set against a mountain backdrop.

“Fantastic course in Northern California. If you get the chance to play here, do so! Playing over 7300 from the tips, but the higher elevation doesn't make it play that long. Some tee shots are thru narrow tree lined chutes that open into large playable fairways and greens that reward the good approach shots. Greens roll fast and true. This Weiskopf designed course plays through the beautiful surroundings of Lake Tahoe with towering pines, huge mountains and fescue grasses (bring your camera), a great risk / reward course that's challenging and fun! Get there if you can."
