Overview
The manageable summer temperatures at high elevation of this par-71 championship golf course allows for guests to experience well-manicured Bentgrass greens all year round. The desert track, known as “Big Wick,” is tucked away in North Phoenix and offers fantastic views of Vulture Peak and Prescott National Forest. Additionally, Wickenburg Ranch is home to a laid-back 9-hole par-3 course nicknamed “Li’l Wick” with hammocks and rest areas located between holes.

“An enjoyable course worth the drive. Some fun risk/reward holes, and a few holes that make you think about your options. Greens are fast and undulated."

“A solid desert course with some nice risk reward shots. It is significantly more difficult from the back tees with very good green complexes."

“Wickenberg Ranch occupies a dramatic piece of desert land with ample elevation changes and beautiful views of nearby mountains. The course is a substantial notch above most other desert golf offerings given the movement of the land, the course's pristine conditioning with top-notch green surfaces, and the bold, dramatic, risk/reward nature of many of its holes."

“Amazing golf course. Ultra-good conditioning, and fantastic greens. Setting is superb. Great variety of holes, and a good value for the quality. Try the par-3 little Wick, if able. Lots of fun."

“Incredible conditioning. Greens at PGA Tour Quality. Weird routing. Middle of nowhere. Wonderful clubhouse and facility...plus a new par-3 with lights. They're building a housing development around this course, so the aesthetics are likely to decline. And, I don't see this being real playable for the housewives who want to play with hubby. As it stands, though...a beautiful course."

“The Big Wick course at Wickenburg Ranch Golf and Social Club presents an excellent challenge for the better golfer. Most holes start with significant downhill tee shots over wild desert terrain, and the fairways are not overly wide. However, the course plays much shorter than the scorecard distance, and a straight driver with a good short game can score here. Most greens have significant level changes, and a wrong-side approach shot coupled with the fast greens can be costly. "

“Once you arrive at the green, the challenge begins with fast putting surfaces and lots of undulations. You definitely do not want to be above the hole."
