Jim Herman hit the pitch shot of a lifetime on the par-3 16th hole. He lifted the ball onto the green with his 60-degree Titleist Vokey wedge and watched as the ball rolled into the hole for a birdie that put him in the lead for the good en route to his first PGA Tour win and a berth in this week’s Masters. Another key club for Herman was his Bettinardi Inovai 1.0 mallet putter. The putter—which is 37 inches long with 2 degrees of loft and lie angle of 69—has a silver anodized finish, a recent change from a darker finish that he had been using. Herman also switched from a TaylorMade AeroBurner driver to the company’s new M1 model.
