Charl Schwartzel has enjoyed success since changing to Nike’s Vapor Fly Pro driver and Method Origin B1-01 putter. The 2011 Masters champion not only won the Valspar Championship in a playoff with Bill Haas, but Alfred Dunhill Championship on the European Tour earlier this year as well. The putter, in particular, served Schwartzel well on Sunday, as he rolled in a 64-footer for birdie on the 13th hole and knocked in a 23-footer on 17 for another birdie that kept his hopes alive. The blade-style putter has four small weights on the sole and features a modified polymetal groove pattern with the grooves tighter together and across a larger portion of the face than on the original Method putter. For the week Schwartzel was a very respectable .886 strokes gained/putting.
