Like Jordan Spieth being "mature for his age," or Rory McIlroy being "chiseled," it's hard to hear Gary Woodland's name without also hearing that he played college basketball. After high school, Woodland attended Washburn University (Division II) on a basketball scholarship before transferring to the University of Kansas after his freshman year to play golf.
Two PGA Tour wins and more than $11 million in on course earnings, we're pretty sure Woodland made the right choice. But on Tuesday night, one of pro golf's best athletes got to show off his skills in his first sport during a charity event at the Chicago Bears' practice facility ahead of this week's BMW Championship:
Golf fans know about Woodland's length off the tee, but how about that range on his jumper? Even Stephen Curry would be impressed.
