Tour Edge extends affordable reach with most extensive line of clubs

August 16, 2016

The long held belief is that golf is too hard and too expensive. And no company has tried to thwart that opinion more than Tour Edge.

Heralding its 30th year of existence, the company unveiled its most extensive line of affordable, technologically significant and customizable equipment in its history. The new Hot Launch 2 family will include two new drivers, fairway woods, hybrids, irons, hybrid-irons and a chipper.

“The story began 30 years ago because I felt there was a hole in the marketplace for quality golf clubs at an affordable price,”said David Glod, Tour Edge president and founder. “The current landscape of the golf industry has shown us that this is still true today and gives us a great opportunity to fulfill that need.”

The Hot Launch 2 line will be customizable to shaft, loft, lie, length, shaft flex and grip, all with a 48-hour shipping guarantee.

The Hot Launch 2 drivers include an adjustable model (8 to 12.5 degrees) that features a cupface design ($200), as well as a non-adjustable offset model ($170). The fairway woods also come in standard and offset models and feature a variable-thickness face and heavy sole weight ($130). The Hot Launch 2 hybrids have a maraging steel face insert, and the lofts stretch up to a 6-iron replacement ($110).

The Hot Launch 2 iron family includes a traditional undercut cavity design made of 431 stainless steel ($400) and a hollow “iron-wood” shape made of high-strength steel that’s available in 2-iron through lob wedge lofts ($80 each or $500 for a 7-piece set).

The Hot Launch 2 line also includes a chipper to make the short game more manageable for the beginners who might be attracted to this more affordable line of clubs.

The Hot Launch 2 line of clubs is expected to be available in Sept. 10.
