There's a lot of Tiger-hoopla going around in Kentucky, but Woods made his participation in the final major of the year official Thursday when he teed off at the PGA Championship. His first-round 74 was encouraging in parts -- mostly because he looked pain-free throughout -- but it's clear Woods still needs to shake a considerable amount of rust off his game.

Tiger's opening tee shot on the par-5 10th hole (his first of the day) found the left rough. His subsequent two shots left him with a fairly straight 15 footer for birdie, which he he left just short.
