This Ryder Cup ticket giveaway will be music to New York golfers' ears
If you're able to secure a tee time at Bethpage Black—a particularly hot topic of late—you might wind up getting something even cooler: Ryder Cup tickets.
The PGA of America announced on Wednesday the launch of "The People's Perk," a large-scale ticket giveaway to the 2025 Ryder Cup, which will be contested at Bethpage Black Sept. 26-28.
The best part? You don't have to do anything to win. Other than be playing golf.
According to the PGA of America, a total of 3,000 tickets will be distributed to New York residents over five months. Each winner will receive vouchers to two tickets on one of six days—three practice days and three competition days.
"The People's Perk: A Ryder Cup Ticket Giveaway is a special way for us to celebrate the unparalleled dedication and enthusiasm of the New York golf community by providing them with a memorable experience at the 2025 Ryder Cup," said PGA of America President Don Rea Jr. "The PGA of America is proud to share the excitement of golf’s greatest team event with our host community. We cannot wait to welcome the lucky ticket recipients this September as we all rally behind Captain Keegan Bradley and the United States Team."
The giveaway will especially be music to New Yorkers' ears given the price of these tickets. Entry for one of the three competition days starts at $755, while practice days are $255. Despite an initial uproar over the costs, however, the tickets sold out in a matter of hours.

The PGA of America will give lucky golfers tickets at several New York City area courses. So, be on the lookout.
