The latest putting green viral video has Golf Twitter asking questions
Earlier this year, three-time LPGA Tour A Lim Kim went viral for going through her AimPoint routine for a tap-in putt. As many people have pointed out since, the screengrab of her straddling the hole from less than a foot away looked worse than the full video. But, regardless, it's easy to see why it made the rounds. (Min Woo Lee even imitated it on his winning tap-in at the Houston Open.)
The latest putting green viral video? Well, that's a different story.
Twitter user @Golfingbrock captured a bizarre scene from Tuesday's first round of the PGA WORKS Collegiate Championship at Whistling Straits. And, well, we'll just let you have a look, because there's a lot going on here:
Was that golfer stepping off her putt to measure the length? Are you allowed to do that? Should you do it even if you are allowed? Was she mocking the other golfers in her group for walking all over the green? Does this have anything to do with AimPoint? Is this some kind of new drill to work on your balance?
We've got a lot of questions. And so did Golf Twitter.
Here's what we do know other than when and where this took place: The video had more than two million views in less than 12 hours. So, people are watching. It's just probably not the "Look, mom, I'm on TV!" moment any of those involved wanted.
