Why making a hole-in-one isn't all it's cracked up to be
Making a hole-in-one is about as overrated as it gets, writes man who has never made a hole-in-one.
I know, I know, you've probably already rolled your eyes and checked out. It is the Wednesday before Thanksgiving after all. But I promise, I make a compelling case, a case so strong that my The Loop podcast co-host Alex Myers couldn't help but agree with. And this is a guy who just made his first career ace this past summer. At Oak Hill. On the Michael Block hole-in-one hole. It was even on SportsCenter. True story.
One day, I hope my hole-in-one comes in similar fashion. For now, the chase continues, as does my stance on it being the most overrated golf accomplishment going.
In addition to debating nonsensical topics, on this week's episode of The Loop we also got hyper-critical about the Golf Channel's coverage of Joel Dahmen's wild Sunday at the RSM Classic. Plus, a behind-the-scenes look at TGL's New York Golf Club event in the city earlier this week and our golfiest things in golf.
