Jon Rahm’s ball-striking gets all the attention for good reason. He finished first in strokes gained/approach this week and was sixth in driving distance with a 315-yard average. But he closed off Sunday’s Genesis Invitational victory with the shortest club in his bag, rolling in big putts on 14 and 15 before a dart of an 8-iron to birdie the 16th on his way to a two-shot victory over Max Homa.

It was his third win since the start of 2023 and his fifth victory in his past nine starts.

Rahm’s putter is an Odyssey White Hot OG Rossie S, which features a slant neck. He uses the White Hot Microhinge Star insert, which includes 304 stainless-steel plate behind the urethane elastomer insert with rows of hinges designed to provide more initial forward roll.

Rahm ranked first in SG/approach, gaining nearly 12 strokes on the field for the week. It was another win for his Callaway Apex TCB irons, which he has used effectively for the past few years. He is second on tour in greens in regulation for the year and was third last year and second in 2021. The Apex TCB irons are forged cavity backs from mild 1025 carbon steel and include metal injection molded tungsten internal and external weighting to precisely locate the centers of gravity through the set to optimize trajectory.

He combined that ball-striking by gaining 4.5 strokes on the field putting, the biggest being a 46-footer from the back fringe on the par-3 14th hole.

Rahm’s 300-plus-yard week with the driver was his third win with Callaway’s Paradym Triple Diamond driver. For the season he is fourth in driving distance, and since January he’s averaging nearly 317 yards off the tee. He added a Callaway Paradym Triple Diamond 5-wood to the bag this week, replacing a 2-iron, and that club hit the highlight shot of the week, banking it off the grandstand on the 17th hole on Friday to four feet to set up an eagle.

Here are the clubs Jon Rahm had in the bag at the 2023 Genesis Invitational:

Driver: Callaway Paradym Triple Diamond (Aldila Tour Green 75 TX), 10.5 degrees

3-wood: Callaway Paradym Triple Diamond, 16 degrees

5-wood: Callaway Paradym Triple Diamond, 18 degrees

    Irons (4-PW): Callaway Apex TCB

Wedges: Callaway Jaws Raw (52, 56, 60 degrees)
