    Save for later

Scottie Scheffler's run over the last few years is breaking records and rewriting history books. But most importantly, this might be the first time anyone has ever played “Can't Be Touched” by Roy Jones Jr. in the Muirfield Village locker room. As Mr. Jones Jr. so eloquently says, “Can't be touched, can't be stopped / Can't be moved, can't be rocked.”

Nothing but respect for caddie Ted Scott, who just secured another monumental payday and seems to be enjoying every second of Scheffler's latest hot streak. And why shouldn’t he? Three wins, including a major, over four events is as ridiculous as it gets.

Is this good dancing? Well, obviously not. But that doesn’t matter at all after raking in six figures. If I made that much money over one weekend, you’d be seeing bar-mitzvah dance moves for weeks on end. I would even try the worm on the first tee at Oakmont.

It was projected that Scott earned over $5 million in 2024, slightly more than your run-of-the-mill muni caddie. And that’s not even getting into 2025, in which Scheffler already has three wins and nine top-10 finishes.

There’s plenty of debate here at Golf Digest over the importance of caddies—if only you could see the Slacks—but you can’t argue with Scott’s success. The golf journeyman jumped on the Scheffler Rocketship in 2022 and has been flying high ever since.
