There’s a scene in the penultimate episode of Season 1 of “True Detective” when Rust Cohle (Matthew McConaughey) shows an extremely disturbing video tape to his partner Marty Hart (Woody Harrelson). I won’t spoil the scene (though if you haven’t watched that season of the show yet, WTF?!), but the gist is that what’s on the tape is so bad that it causes Hart to scream in disgust, and eventually tell Cohle “you shouldn’t have that [the tape].” Cohle responds by saying “Nobody should have this.”
That’s exactly how I feel about this Twitter thread of images of SEC head football coaches as women. Yes, it’s a real thing that exists, and nobody should have to see it. But let’s get started, shall we?
