Rose Zhang's final project at Stanford is every college kid's dream
It's been a busy few years for Rose Zhang, who has deftly balanced being a pro golfer with being a student at Stanford. But the 23-year-old's focus will be fully on the former after earning her degree in communications. And her final project is every college kid's dream.
On the eve of the U.S. Women's Open, Golf Channel's Brandel Chamblee asked Zhang what her final assignment was to graduate. And you'll never guess her answer.
"My last project was a 15-page paper on beer brewing," Zhang says in the clip.
Beer brewing?! Yep, beer brewing. It turns out, Zhang became fascinated with this topic. And that there's a lot more that goes into it than we realized.
"I had to do a whole project on how I brewed the beer," the two-time LPGA Tour winner continued. "That was the one class that was supposed to be easy and then it turned into an archaelogical excavation on everything from micro-organisms to what-not."

Chambee suggests a "Rose's Brew" brand, but "Brandel's Brew" has a much better ring to it. In any event, Zhang has the U.S. Women's Open this week before walking in the Stanford graduation ceremony later this month. Maybe she'll supply the drinks for the after-party.
