Robert MacIntyre did NOT seem happy about Rory McIlroy driving the green while he was putting
Rory McIlroy delighted the fans on Friday by driving the green at Kingsbarns' par-4 14th hole. Robert MacIntyre, however, didn't seem as happy about it.
The four-time major champ uncorked a booming tee shot on the 390-yard hole that rolled onto the putting surface as MacIntyre was lining up a birdie putt during the second round of the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. First, a depiction of this incredible feat of strength:
What a gold shot. But the Scottish pro seemed rather flustered about the situation, stepping away from his putt and taking a long stare back at the tee.
"I don't think Bob's too impressed with that," one commenter says in the clip. Before another adds, "Well, MacIntyre was ready to putt and, his body language, I can tell you he's very unimpressed." OK then. Have a look and listen:
MacIntyre's frustration makes more sense when you consider he was coming off back-to-back bogeys. He must have felt a lot better moments later when he converted his birdie putt.
Phew. Had he missed, we may have had an international incident on our hands.
