RBC Heritage 2020 odds: Some surprising numbers emerge in golf's second event back

How much fun was that? A star-studded leaderboard featuring heavy drama down the stretch in the PGA Tour’s return last week reminded golf fans how much we missed live tour golf. Luckily, that’s just the first appetizer in a summer of golf (knock on wood, coronavirus setbacks notwithstanding), with the next stop being the RBC Heritage this week at venerable Harbour Town Golf Links in Hilton Head Island.

Fifteen of the top 20 players in the world will tee it up at the second event of the PGA Tour’s return. Usually a bit of a weaker field in its traditional week-after-the-Masters position, we have the strongest field at South Carolina’s only tour stop in quite some time. Last week’s winner, Daniel Berger, opened at 33-1 at BetMGM, with the heartbreak duo of Collin Morikawa (25-1) and Xander Schauffele (20-1) returning for another chance to win. Of course, the top six in the world will also be in Harbour Town, with Brooks Koepka and Dustin Johnson at 40-1.
