Save for later

Looking to learn what you need to know about the latest new products from PXG? These handy thumbnails will keep you up to date on the company's new releases across all club and ball catetgories.

PXG Bat Attack ZT: As the zero torque craze takes hold of the equipment industry, several manufacturers are doubling down and expanding the number of putter offerings featuring the technology. The latest is PXG's Bat Attack ZT mallet.

The company's Allan putter was the first to receive the ZT (zero torque) treatment last year, followed 10 months later by Bat Attack. The genesis behind the design is the same: align the shaft axis just above the center of gravity to reduce the amount of face rotation golfers typically experience during the stroke. The result is a consistently square face at impact.

“With the Bat Attack ZT, we’ve taken one of our most iconic putter designs and made it better than ever,” said Bob Parsons, PXG's founder and CEO. “This flatstick delivers all the stability and control you need—without compromising on feel or feedback."

For PXG, the zero torque design is built around a proprietary s-hosel that helps keep the face square to the path. The hosel is combined with a built-in forward press (2 degrees) to help position the hands ahead of the head at address and reduce any manipulation during the stroke.

While the s-hosel is the centerpiece of the design, there's a lot going on under the hood as well. The hollow-bodied 303 stainless steel head is injected with a polymer that accounts for 31 percent of the internal volume. The hollow design allows mass to be placed along the perimeter to increase the Moment of Inertia. The putter face is also backed by a polymer fill to reduce unwanted vibrations and produce an insert-esque sound at impact.

The putter retails for $450 and comes with two heel-toe adjustable sole weights to dial in head weight. The head weight ranges from 360 grams to 395 grams.

PXG Secret Weapon: PXG is the latest brand to add a mini driver to its lineup. The Secret Weapon offers driver-esque performance with the workability and versatility of a fairway wood. A 43.75-inch shaft makes it easier to control when compared to a standard driver at 45-plus inches in length. $450, available now.

PXG Wildcat set: A nine-piece set aimed at the beginning or launch-challenged golfer, PXG's Wildcat set is comprised of a driver, 5-wood, 6-hybrid, 7-iron through pitching wedge, sand wedge and putter. Higher lofts, deeper centers of gravity and lighter shafts and swing weights all are employed to increase ease of use. Clubs may be purchased individually or as a nine-club set (with bag, hat and a dozen golf balls). Driver: $299; fairway wood: $199; hybrid: $189; irons: $149 each; putter: $300; full set: $1,499. Available now.

PXG Black Ops Ultra Lite Driver: PXG rounds out its Black Ops driver line with a lightweight design for golfers looking for more swing speed and forgiveness off the tee. The Ultra Lite joins the standard Black Ops driver, a high-launch, low spinning model, and the Black Ops Tour-1, a smaller, tour-inspired head, designed to produce a penetrating ball flight.

"Whether you play like a pro or an average Joe, we're committed to having a high-performance setup that will help you play your best and have a good time," said PXG Founder and CEO Bob Parsons. "The expansion of the PXG Black Ops Driver Collection to include a lightweight option is case in point. There are a lot of players out there who will benefit from this clubhead design, and we're thrilled to give them what they need."

The Ultra Lite driver comes 14 grams lighter than the standard model, but has a single weight port to allow for 7.5 extra or 10 fewer grams. The rear weight port moves the center of gravity back for added forgiveness. The club's variable face thickness design creates mini sweet spots to help keep off-center strikes online and in the air. $600. Available now at PXG.com and PXG Retail Stores.

PXG Allan ZT putter: PXG’s Allan ZT putter is the first zero torque putter introduced by the company. Now PXG has expanded the line with a new “double black” finish designed to reduce glaer at address.

Zero torque is designed to mitigate the twisting forces that typically compromise face control during the putting stroke. The Allan ZT’s S-hosel positions the shaft axis just above the center of gravity, helping golfers deliver a square face at impact with greater consistency. The putter includes all of the Allan’s signature technologies. For full details, click here.

PXG Hellcat ZT putter: The PXG lineup of zero-torque putters now expands to include a blade model, joining the Allan ZT (a full mallet) and the Bat Attack ZT (mid-mallet). Like the others, the Hellcat ZT features the distinctive S-hosel, which is designed to position the shaft axis just above the center of gravity. The idea is to create more of a toe-up balance point for a stroke that reduces the need for the hands to manipulate the clubhead back to square. Constructed through metal injection molding 303 stainless steel. The face features rows of pyramid shapes for consistent energy transfer, feel and roll. It also comes standard with PXG’s Slant 1.5 grip. $250, 34 inches.

PXG Battle Ready II Torpedo putter: While zero torque putters are all the rage, PXG has been there and done that — just scroll up. That's not to suggest they're done with zero torque, likely far from it. But while others are zigging, they're zagging back into the traditional mallet shape space. Using 303 milled stainless steel and a hollow-body construction, PXG shifts weight to the perimeter of the clubhead, creating a high-MOI option for players who prefer a familiar look and feel. Diving further into player preferences, the Battle Ready II Torpedo is available in four hosel configurations: heel shafted, plumber's neck, double bend and armlock. This level of personalization, combined with PXG's interchangeable weights allows for a fitter to fine tune the clubhead to balance stroke tendencies that might lead to misses. $400. Available now at any PXG Retail store and PXG.com.

Mustang ZT expands “zero-torque” lineup. The new Mustang ZT becomes the second iteration of a blade in PXG’s cadre of torque-free putters, designed to simplify the stroke by reducing the amount of effort the hands need to make to manipulate the face back to square. Like the previously introduced Hellcat ZT, Bat Attack ZT and Allan ZT, the Mustang ZT uses the company’s unique S-hosel shape. This positions the shaft axis just above the center of gravity for a toe-up balance point. Milled from 303 stainless steel, the winged, widebody blade features a hollow body filled with PXG’s S-COR polymer creating a further stabilized feel and softer sound. The design enables the CG to be pushed farther forward than similarly shaped solid-body putters, while the .055-inch thick face features rows of pyramid shapes for consistent contact. Stock weight on the putter is 365 grams with the optional range of 350 to 385 grams. $450.
