Players 2021: Justin Thomas' caddie had the best reaction ever when he realized how much 1st place paid

Being a PGA Tour caddie isn't always glamorous. After all, you carry someone else's bag around a golf course all day, and as we saw last week, you get mocked by your boss when you finally get to take a swing yourself. But if you hitch yourself to the right wagon, wow, can it be a lucrative gig. And no one knows that better than Jimmy Johnson.

Listen to these names the veteran looper has worked for in his career: Nick Price, Adam Scott, Steve Stricker, Charles Howell III, and current boss, Justin Thomas. Just a list of walking ATM machines. So, yeah, the guy has been making bank for a decades. Even with a long track record of earning big paychecks, though, the 1st-place prize at the 2021 Players Championship hit different.

Of course, Johnson realized he'd be in for a big payday once JT won the PGA Tour's flagship event. But the footage of him in the scorer's area glancing at what appears to be a sheet listing the payouts shows he may not have realized just how big of a payday he was in for. Have a look at the hilarious clip:

Classic. Quickly taking a sip of water was a good attempt at covering up that reaction, but we see you, Jimmy. That was quite the double take.

And for good reason. Earning $270K for a week's work is pretty darn sweet, no matter what line of work you're in. Of course, $2.7 million is even sweeter, but after seeing this, we're pretty sure Jimmy won't be complaining about his cut.
