A League of Their Own: Omni’s Year-Round Commitment to the Fastest-Growing Segment in Golf
Editor's Note: This article is written in partnership with Omni Hotels.
Women continue to represent the fastest-growing segment of America’s golfing population, reaching an impressive 8 million players in 2024, up from 5.7 million in 2019. Omni Hotels & Resorts has emerged as one of the leading brands to embrace and support this growth year-round with a wide range of women-focused programming from club-in-hand experiences for women of all ages and skill levels to hosting marquee events including the 2025 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, NCAA Division 1 Women’s Golf Championship and the Omni Generation Cup. The goal is to create welcoming, engaging environments where women can connect through the game.
Back by popular demand, Omni is a proud supporter of Women’s Golf Day and will host events throughout the week of May 26 - June 2 that are designed to expand participants’ golf communities and offer new ways to experience the game. The programming is intentionally varied, with options that meet players wherever they are in their golf journey. From scramble tournaments and instructional clinics to short-course rounds, happy hours and panel discussions, each event offers a different entry point into the game. The underlying mission is simple: move beyond the conversation around inclusivity in golf and bring it to life through real, shared experiences.
“We’re proud to mark our third consecutive year celebrating Women’s Golf Day across our premier destinations,” says Colleen Buckley, Director of Brand Management and Marketing at Omni Hotels & Resorts. “With women now representing over a quarter of all golfers in the U.S., we are committed to meeting this historic growth by ensuring Omni is the first choice for women seeking meaningful connections and elevated experiences on the course.”
The diversity of locations is just as compelling as the programming itself. The Omni Golf Collection includes 12 properties across the country, each offering its own distinct setting and style of golf experience. Among them is Omni Mount Washington Resort & Spa in New Hampshire, set at the base of the highest peak in New England and home to a classic Donald Ross course. In Florida, Omni Amelia Island Resort & Spa pairs coastal golf with access to one of the country’s most celebrated beaches. In Texas, Omni PGA Frisco Resort & Spa, home to the PGA of America, offers the chance to explore its headquarters and play Fields Ranch East, host of the 2025 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship.

While the scenery and formats vary, Omni’s commitment remains the same: to create a welcoming environment where women golfers can build confidence, find inspiration and deepen their relationship with golf. Whether picking up a club for the first time or returning to the game, the Omni Golf Collection is an ideal starting point for any girls’ golf trip or family vacation.
