Sustainability is becoming a larger focus for big golf brands. This year during the 2021 Masters, Nike’s latest effort in this category will come in the form of two of the company’s most popular shoes, the Air Zoom Infinity Tour and Air Max 90G, which it’s making available in new and sustainable colorways. Nike also plans to include the Air Zoom Victory Tour 2, a brand-new shoe created in partnership with Rory McIlroy, in the drop. All of the shoes from the Masters NRG pack will feature a recycled palate.
The Air Zoom Infinity Tour ($180), created by Brooks Koepka, and the Air Zoom Victory Tour 2 ($200) will be available to Nike members on April 5th at nike.com. The Air Max 90Gs ($150) are expected to be available in May.
Created in partnership with Rory McIlroy, the Air Zoom Victory Tour 2 is a brand-new silhouette and features the addition of Crater Foam in the forefoot of the shoe. Crater Foam is made from 10 percent Nike Grind (recycled material from previously made shoes) for a more sustainable product, offering lightweight stability and support as you navigate the course. The speckled pattern also offers a modern contrast to the more traditionally styled upper, which is made with a 100 percent recycled canvas. The Air Zoom Victory Tour 2 also features seven removable spikes, giving you maximum grip during the swing. The muted colors and classic design make it easy to match with any outfit.
The Air Zoom Infinity Tour still has the features you expect like piston spikes for optimum traction, but it has been revamped with more sustainable features like lace loops and a tongue that are made from 100 percent recycled materials. The multicolored heel and sole add a pop of color to the muted grey upper, which is made from 100 percent recycled canvas, giving the shoe a raw feel. Pair it with your favorite joggers for an athletic look.
Like many limited editions before them, these Air Max 90s are sure to sell out quickly. The speckled outsole uses Nike Grind rubber that contains at least 10 percent recycled content. While the lining of the tongue, collar and insole are all made from 100 percent recycled knit fabric. Just like the other shoes in the collection this pair also features a 100 percent recycled canvas upper, as well as lace loops and a canvas tongue made from 100 percent recycled material. Stand out on the course with Nike’s funky, multicolored design.
