Watch Nelly Korda hit the 17th green at TPC Sawgrass … left-handed

September 13, 2022

The 17th hole at TPC Sawgrass provides some of the best entertainment in golf. We’ve all watched enough pros dunk their tee balls into the water at the Players to wonder, Could I hit that green? It turns out, LPGA Tour players have the same thought. Nelly Korda was recently at the Stadium Course in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., and had someone film her hitting one at the infamous island green … but the righty did it left-handed.

Korda has one of the best-looking right-handed swings in professional golf, and that left-handed swing looks pretty darn good, too. Even her playing partners can be heard on the video commenting in awe of the shot. The 24-year-old No. 2 player in the world looked happy with the shot immediately, giving it a little club twirl and then shooting the camera a thumbs up.

Sure, she wasn’t playing under the Sunday heat of a tournament, but Korda’s shot from the wrong side of the ball is just another reminder of why Nelly, along with sister and fellow LPGA pro Jessica, their tennis pro brother Sebastian and Olympian parents Petr and Regina, are part of arguably the most athletic family in America.
