Michael Kim confirmed what we all knew about Jordan Spieth's golf ball after playing with him on Sunday

At the peak of his powers—2015 and 2017—there were days, weeks and even month-long stretches where it appeared as though Jordan Spieth was going to make every putt he looked at. It was as if there was some sort of magnetic force pulling his ball directly into the cup every time it left his putter face. This naturally resulted in a lot of victories, three of them coming in majors.

Hell, even in his recent down years, there are still times it feels that way when watching the 13-time PGA Tour winner. Some call it luck, some call it a fierce will to get the ball in the hole. Michael Kim, who was grouped with Spieth on Sunday at the Waste Management Phoenix Open, came up with a better description after seeing it up close and personal for 18 holes.

"I wish I could better describe what it's like watching Jordan Spieth's ball roll on the green," Kim wrote on X/Twitter. "It's like his golf ball has eyes and it's actively trying to go in the hole."

"It's fun watch to watch him golf as you never know what you are going to get," Kim added in his WMPO recap tweet. "That par on 11 was dirty. Mav [McNealy] and I were on the side talking about how this would be the most Spieth par before he hit his third ... and of course he made par."

Good to know that it's not just the Golf Twitter crazies who find themselves all aboard the Spieth-coaster when it gets going. His playing partners are actively on it, too.

The funniest part is Sunday's final round wasn't all that crazy for Spieth, nor was the week in its entirety. Up until the fourth hole on Sunday, he had made just one bogey, which came on the final hole of his opening round. His scorecards were shockingly clean, which helped him put together his best result in 13 months, a T-4. He finished the week second in strokes-gained/approach and 13th in putting, two excellent signs for this latest "comeback."

Kim, who tied for second, beating Spieth by one stroke, had some other interesting tidbits from the week that was at the WMPO in his full tweet. His clutch performance at TPC Scottsdale saw him jump into the AON Swing 5 to earn a spot into this week's Genesis Invitational at Torrey Pines, where he'll be playing for the second time in four weeks.
