Yes, the Masters is a tradition unlike any other. Then it's only fitting that it features a TV schedule unlike any other. And unless you’re making the trek to Augusta, you might want to know exactly what to watch and when (and how!). Obviously, you can tune into CBS on Sunday afternoon to see the final round unfold. But it couldn’t hurt to break down the rest of the timetable for what’s to come as the first men's major of the year unfolds.
Thankfully, you don’t have to find an exorbitant Georgia hotel or Airbnb for a front-row seat to the action at Augusta National. The traditional route to watch the 2026 Masters is through the famed television broadcast scheduled for ESPN (in its 18th year showing first- and second-round action) and CBS (somehow in its 71st straight year airing the closing weekend coverage). But that won’t get you everything. Oh, also, Amazon Prime Video is even in the mix this go-around.
For those hoping to soak in even more coverage, there are several alternatives to watch this year’s tournament, including the revolutionary Masters “Every Shot, Every Hole” technology that allows viewers to see, well, everything. Also returning this year is the use of IBM Watson to provide text and audio AI commentary for all 20,000-plus shots shown during the tournament (this year in English and Spanish).
There’s also the Par-3 Contest on Wednesday, April 8, on ESPN+ to start, and ESPN later in the day. Plus five Masters specials, airing on CBS Sports, from a 40th Anniversary reflection of Jack Nicklaus’ unforgettable 1986 Masters victory to a retrospective on Rory McIlroy’s historic 2025 Masters win.”
Before the start of its TV broadcasts on Thursday and Friday, ESPN will once again broadcast a two-hour lead-in program, “Welcome to the Masters.” And we welcome you to peruse our in-depth guide on how to watch enough Masters content over the next week or so to fill up on for the rest of the year.
