Masters 2024: Jon Rahm unleashed an epic F-bomb tirade on the 18th tee Thursday

If you were concerned about competitive rust for defending Masters champion/LIV Golfer Jon Rahm, he showed no signs of them early in his opening round at Augusta National. The Spaniard made three birdies and just one bogey on his first nine, turning in two-under 34 to put himself firmly in "lurking" territory.

But that's when Rahm started missing everything to the right off the tee, and we mean everything. At the par-4 11th, he blasted it way right and got a lucky bounce off a tree branch that knocked his ball into the center of the fairway. At 14, the hole he secured the green jacket on with a miraculous recovery shot last year, Rahm missed so far right all he had was a pitch out back to safety. On 15, right rough off the tee. 17? Missed right again. Bogey, his third on the back nine.

Frustrations boiled over on the 18th thee, where Rahm missed right AGAIN and had officially had enough. Hot mics on the tee box caught Rahm unleashing one of his epic, F-bomb-laced tirades, the type that earn you a strongly-worded letter from Augusta National.

"Go F--- yourself," Rahm could be heard saying. "Every drive on the back nine to the f---ing right. God damn, f---k."

Here's the video:

Can never say this man doesn't care. He went on to bogey the hole, making it two in a row to spoil what was a one under round after 16 holes. Rahm finished with a one-over 73 and will have some work to do in Round 2, which he'll begin eight off the lead of Bryson DeChambeau.
