Masters 2018: Fred Couples knew this bunker shot was going in before he even hit it
Stop us if you've heard this one before: Fred Couples is playing well at the Masters.
His opening round has been far from perfect, but the 58-year-old is hanging in there like he always does at Augusta, playing his first 11 holes in two over without a birdie. When his first finally came, Couples made sure it ignited the roars at Amen Corner, by holing out an incredibly difficult bunker shot at the par-3 12th. And this wasn't just any hole-out, Boom Boom knew it was in before he even hit it. Check out this A+ display of tour sauce from the 1992 Masters champion:
He practically raised his arms before he even took the club back. Look at this:

That ball is still a few feet from the cup. The guy is as smooth as they come. He just made another birdie at the 13th, and with another par 5 coming up, don't be surprised if Couples is in red figures heading into Friday. Check out his card so far:
