Anthony Kim, golf's most mysterious figure, will make his long-awaited—and recently rumored—return to competition this week.

LIV Golf announced teased that Kim will play in this week's LIV Golf Jeddah event beginning Friday through a rather cryptic promo video released Monday morning. Have a look at the dramatically narrated clip that includes a couple quick shots of a golfer who looks like Kim walking and swinging—although Kim's name isn't actually used.

"WITNESS THE DANCE OF REDEMPTION." OK then.

LIV CEO Greg Norman further indicated Kim's return on Twitter as well. Although, once again, didn't mention Kim by name.

So he's really back. We think. Well, we're pretty sure.

As reported by Golf Channel over the weekend, Kim is expected to play in the Jeddah event as a wildcard and not part of one of the league's 13 teams. And it has been speculated that LIV has bought out an expensive insurance policy keeping him from attempting a comeback that was reported by Golf.com a decade ago.

Kim rose to fame as a young player with three PGA Tour wins before the age of 25, the last of which came at the 2010 Shell Houston Open. He also led the U.S. to a win at the 2008 Ryder Cup before injuries began plaguing his career.

Kim, 38, has been seen sparingly since making his last PGA Tour start at the 2012 Wells Fargo Championship. Perhaps that was the point of the vague promo after all. Keep the mystery going as long as possible. In any event, see you on Friday, AK. For real.
