Kevin Kisner takes helicopter from Tour Championship to Georgia football game

September 23, 2017

From a victory at Colonial to a sterling PGA run to earning an invite to the Presidents Cup, it's been a hell of a campaign for Kevin Kisner. He's also far from finishing that résumé, as Kiz is in the final group of the Tour Championship with an opportunity to win the FedEx Cup's $10 million payday. Amazingly, while that theoretical victory would be a career changer for the 33-year-old, it might not be the highlight of his weekend.

On Friday, Kisner took to Twitter with a peculiar request, seeking a helicopter ride from Atlanta (home of East Lake) to Athens to watch his beloved Georgia Bulldogs play Mississippi State on Saturday night.

Apparently his request was fulfilled with the help of fellow tour pro Justin Thomas (who's friend owns a chopper), as Kisner sent this update after carding a six-under 64 on Saturday to vault into contention:

Better yet, Kisner, watching from the sidelines, witnessed his alma mater dismantle Mississippi State 31-3.

Of course, should Kisner win on Sunday, he won't have to find himself in such a future predicament. With $10 million in the bank, he can buy his own damn helicopter.
