On Friday, an unflattering story about Keegan Bradley berating a rules official at the Ryder Cup was quickly spreading like wildfire on social media. But before most people could press play on the video clip, which came courtesy of the Musings Golf Podcast, the clip had been scrubbed from the internet.
Those who did get the chance to view the clip and listen to the story heard the voice of PGA Professional Chandler Withington, who revealed that Bradley, captain of the U.S. team at Bethpage Black, took rules official and fellow PGA pro Jeff Kiddie to task in the heat of Sunday singles. The undressing came after Kiddie was involved in a lengthy ruling in the first singles match of the day between Justin Rose and Cameron Young.

According to Withington, the verbal abuse was so bad that Kiddie, club pro at Aronimink and a well-respected rules official, vowed to never work a Ryder Cup again.
Unfortunately, the tweet of the video clip was deleted just as it began making the rounds, which of course calls into question the validity of the story. That said, Golf Digest's own Joel Beall was on the grounds that Sunday and tweeted out what he witnessed in real time:
