People say Twitter/X has become a total hellhole full of mostly bots and AI slop that belongs on Linkedin. To be honest, they're kinda right.

But there are still a few very small corners of Twitter where there are real people discussing real things and becoming real friends with each other. Or, simply helping each other out. Look no further than this tweet by Joel Dahmen, who took quite the gamble by sending this out to the masses on Monday:

Good on Dahmen for taking the initiative, here. Don't want to speak for everyone, but I know personally I'd just let the 'ol wife handle stuff like this. But Dahmen is a man who clearly likes to take charge. Extremely bold of him, however, to think that Twitter was the place to do it.

Well, egg on all of our faces, because, by God, it worked!

"It's amazing, social media can be maybe not the greatest place, but I try to use it for good when I'm on there," Dahmen said at Bay Hill on Wednesday. "I reached out, just said kind of a Hail Mary, and the golf world's really small, and luckily had a lot of leads on places this week. So ended up finding one that was actually great."

Incredible. Like I said, there's still a very small handful of good folks out there on social media. It can still be a tool used for good.

And it sounds like Dahmen is set for Players, week, too. Screw AirBnb. Golf Twitter might be the new go-to place for house rentals.

"Then Aron Price, who used to play Korn Ferry Tour, maybe even had tour status once, but he's in the real estate world out there now, connected through Colt Knost actually, got my number, and we've been texting back and forth on a lot of houses there, and ended up finding a great place there through him," he said. "So, yeah, there's, there was -- everyone is like, why do you need so many bedrooms and such a big place. Well, I got my family coming, and we got, you know, caddie's going to stay with me, and in-laws are coming too. It's a really cool thing that I get to share this journey with my people at two of the best weeks on tour and so we're going to try to enjoy it."
