Watch Jackson Koivun celebrate his first PGA Tour win by . . . fishing?
After loudly announcing his PGA Tour arrival with his maiden victory, Jackson Koivun picked a quiet way to celebrate.
The 21-year-old rising star won the 3M Open in just his third start as a pro. And if that wasn't impressive enough, he did it by holding off World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler while shooting a bogey-free 66 on Sunday.
But it doesn't seem like the young man had any wild celebrations planned. After signing his scorecard, collecting his trophy and doing some media, Koivun went . . . fishing. Yep, fishing. Have a look:
Wonder if he caught anything good. That's one way to wind down after a stressful week. And he's certainly not the only pro golfer who loves to fish. But it was still funny seeing a college kid who just won nearly $1.6 million tossing lines into a pond by himself.
Good for Koivun, he seems like an old soul. Although as Golf Channel's Brentley Romine pointed out, technically, Koivun was breaking the law:
Yeah, we think he'll be OK.
