Save for later

One would think a hole-in-one would be as good as life gets. But that’s before you see this hole-in-one art that a lucky bastard’s girlfriend painted post-ace. The moral of the story is that love conquers all … and that I should probably start using Hinge again.

“My bf got a hole in one in golf,” the post reads. “So I attempted to create a Werner bronkhorst painting as a memento … severely underestimated how long it would take to paint tiny people.”

At 1.3 million likes and over 7 million views, this DIY texture painting by othen.art is as gorgeous as it is romantic, and it really captures the beauty of an unexpected ace. For those who don’t know, Bronkhorst is a contemporary Australian artist known for “abstract sculptural backgrounds with hyper-realistic paintings of miniature people.”

The layered paint took a few days to dry and then the artist threw in the ace itself, along with the photographer and a pushcart. For good measure, she then added in some surrounding golfers, as well as a custom(!) oak floating frame. Because at this point, what can’t she do?

The comments are rightfully glowing, from “OKAY BOB ROSS WE SEE U” to “Don’t tell him but this is cooler than his hole in one” to Hyundai chiming in (for some reason) with “this is perfect.” Bronkhorst himself even gave the painting some kudos.

The artist, othen.art, has mentioned that she may start painting these on commission, which is a perfect gift for the golfer with a hole-in-one in your life. For the rest of us without an ace, maybe we can just get one for ourselves anyway. It’s all about positive thinking and visualizing what you want. At the very least, you’ll have some damn good golf art.
