Here’s the record prize money payout for each player at the 2025 AIG Women’s British Open

The AIG Women’s British Open announced Wednesday that it has increased its total prize purse this year by $250,000, moving it up to a record $9.75 million.
The winner on Sunday at Royal Porthcawl, 24-year-old Miyu Yamashita from Japan, earned $1,462,500, the highest amount in the 49-year history of the Women’s British Open. The purse has increased each of the last five years. The R&A and AIG partnership began in 2019.
Last year’s Women’s British Open was historic at the Old Course at St. Andrews. Lydia Ko, on the heels of winning a gold medal at the Summer Olympics in Paris which gave her the final points necessary to get into the LPGA Hall of Fame,
This year, the last major of the season, was another thrilling event. Yamashita collected her first LPGA title and major by shooting 68-65-74-70 for an 11-under-par 277 tota. Minami Katsu and Charley Hull tied for second place, two shots back. Lottie Woad tied for eighth place, the same spot as Spanish amateur Paula Martin Sampedro, who shot a final-round 68 to earn the Smyth Salver as the low amateur.
