Here’s the prize money payout for each golfer at the 2026 American Express
Orlando Ramirez
Scottie Scheffler made his first start of the season at The American Express event in the Coachella Valley, and wasted little time jumping into the winner's circle. The Texas cruised to a four-shot victory over four players to earn his 20th PGA Tour victory. He joined Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus as the only players to win 20 tour titles and four majors before turning 30.
Scheffler also took home $1.656 million from the overall $9.2 million purse. He shot 63-64-68-66 for a 27-under-par total. Jason Day, Ryan Gerard, Matt McCarty and Andrew Putnam all finished four shots behind at the Pete Dy Stadium Course.
Eighteen-year-old Blades Brown was just one off Si Woo Kim's lead heading into the final round and was in the final grouping with Kim and Scheffler. But an early double bogey on the fifth hole moved him out of contention just as Scheffler was starting to really catch fire. He bogeyed two of his final four holes to shoot 74 and tied for 18th place.
Up next: The Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines, where Brooks Koepka will make his first start on the PGA Tour since leaving four years ago to play with LIV Golf.
