    Save for later

LIV Golf opened its season playing events in back-to-back weeks, moving to Australia after opening in Saudi Arabia, where rookie Elvis Smylie won. But this week at The Grange Golf Club in Adelaide was the most memorable event in the league's history. And it's not particularly close.

Anthony Kim shot a final-round nine-under 63 to dust Jon Rahm and Bryson DeChambeau for his first victory anywhere in 16 years. (Read Evin Priest's story here.) Now 40, it had been 5,795 days since Kim’s most recent win, which was his third PGA Tour title at the 2010 Shell Houston Open. He won $4 million here of the overall $30 million purse for topping Rahm by three shots. Cam Smith's Ripper squad will share $3 million from the team title.

Played at The Grange for the fourth consecutive year, it's always been the top event on LIV Golf for gallery size and rowdiness. They all got what the came for, watching Kim charge past the two biggest stars on the tour in Rahm and DeChambeau, who shot 71 and 74 respectively. Kim birdied five of the last seven holes to cruise by them both. It was an amazing scene produced by a man who walked away from the PGA Tour at such a young age and completely fell off the golf map.

Last year on LIV Golf he lost his status and had to return to the league's promotion's event, where he was able to retain status. Then when Patrick Reed left, Dustin Johnson picked Kim up as a member of his 4Aces team. Now, in only the second event of the year, Kim is a winner again.

Here is the rundown of the prize money payout for each player this week.
